Message from the Desk of the Chairman

In 1997, IBAIS first came into being as Institute of Business Administration and Information System. Gradually it gained momentum and in 2002 attained the status of a University and assumed the name IBAIS University. In the last decade and half, we have come a long way and we can be proud of our achievements.

To look back over our shoulder, initially it was established as an enterprise of IBAIS Limited, a Joint Stock Company, registered under the Company Act. The Institute eventually got elevated as University in 2002 under the Private Universities Act 1992.

Subsequently the board of Directors of IBAIS Ltd. has been re-organized and IBAIS University Trust was established in line the Private Universities Act 2010. The University is turning a new leaf under the dynamic leadership of professional Trustees. As required by UGC, the management is taking effective measures to establish the University at its own land. We sincerely adhere to the UGC rules and regulations to ensure professional conduct of the University affairs.

Located at the heart of Dhaka Metropolis, our University boasts of an array of reputed and resourceful teachers with unique background. Committed to quality education, IBAISU is a habitat of excellent academic environment. The well-designed programs offered to the learners have opened a new vista of higher education to lead them to the most enviable position in life. All the departments of IBAIS University are unique in providing modern practical education through lab facilities.

Like other facilities, the library is also full of latest publications and journals of all disciplines. The Teachers and Students are found to swarm around the library spending hours together like silkworms. Our IT Lab is equipped with latest facilities to meet the demand of the students.

The Prospectus for 2011-2012 is published mainly for the Students and the Guardians who can focus on different modules and programs of the University. It also contains a brief outline of University, its Faculties and how the administration works.  I am confident that it will be of great help for the Students, Parents, media and academics to make an overall appraisal of the University.
