ACT 511 Financial Accounting
Financial accounting is concerned with recording, presentation of financial data generated by a business unit in a framework of convention accounting procedures. Will cover basic concepts in accounting, balance sheet & profit and loss account, double entry system and ledger account procedures, preparation of balance sheet and profit and loss account from the ledger, accounts of limited company, ratio and performance measurement, cash flow statement, valuation and performance measurement, control of accounting system, IT application.

STA 512 Statistical Decision Making
The course is designed to equip the student with statistical tools and concept to be used in the decision making process. The topics of the course include measure of central tendency, measure of dispersion, probability distribution and their application in the management decision process, testing hypothesis, regression, correlation and introduction to parametric statistics, survey methods, sample design and sources of business static sin Bangladesh

MKT 514 Marketing Concepts
This course deals with the study of concepts, principles and problems involved in the transfer of goods and services from produces to the ultimate consumer. Contents covered include buyer behaviour, demand measurement, segmentation, targeting, product life cycle and positioning, product development, pricing, distribution, sales promotion, marketing institutions, marketing strategy and marketing management process. Marketing is the social and managerial process by which individual and group obtains what they need and want, through creating offering and exchanging product of value with others. MGT 515 Management & Organizational Behavior
The course deals with individual and group behavior models in the context of different organizations and social system. It deals with the basic concept of motivation, perception learning and analysis of human behavior, individual difference and job satisfaction, attitude change, group process, team work, role theory, power and authority, along with the analysis of small group behavior, group dynamics, leadership, development of the organization and the influence of group.

BUS 516 Business Communication
The study "communication and organization" clarifies the process of sending a massage in such a way that the message received is a close in meaning as possible to the massage intended. The course will cover fundamentals of communication, non-verbal communication, guidelines of effective communication, letters and memo writing, oral presentation skills, report wring, cover letter and resume, interview skills, meeting and seminars, communication technology.

MAT 517 Mathematics for Decisions
The course includes elements of algebra, numbers fields, linear and non-linear inequalities, functions sets analytical geometry, logarithm limit, differential and integral calculus, matrix and linear programmeming. The purpose of the course is to help the students learn mathematics tools, which are used in management studies.

CIS 518 Computer Programming & Application
The course acquaints students with the role and uses of computer in decision process. The basics of computer hardware and software are introduced with reference o evolution from abacus to notebooks. A procedural language is used to solve problems from business situations. Emphasis is given on database management with reference to various packages.

ACT 619 Cost & Managerial Accounting
PREREQUISITE: ACT 511. Management accounting activities geared to the preparation of information for managers to help them plan and control a company's operations. Management accounts generally provide more detailed information than financial accounts, for example, breaking down revenues and costs between different products, or factories or departments to provide comparative data and to help reveal profitable and unprofitable activities. Topics include cost behavior and flexible management, cost volume profit relationship, budgets & budgetary control, budget variance analysis, relevant information & decision making, elementary ideas of responsibility accounting, measuring & evaluating segment performance, transfer pricing in multi-divisional companies.

POM 621 Production & Operations Management
The course involves students with the concepts of economics, basic production decision, and operations of organizations producing goods and services. This covers identification and definition of major problem areas within these functions and development of appropriate concepts and decision processes for dealing with these problems. Main emphasis is given on forecasting quality control and inventory control, utilizing the operations research, industrial engineering and system approach.

MKT 661 Advanced Marketing Management
PREREQUISITE: MKT 514. Marketing management course is design to present an integrated approach to marketing from a managerial point of view. LEB 620 Legal Environment of Business
The course is designed to help the students in learning the application of law o business transactions and their legal responsibility as managers. Beginning with the nature and sources of business law the students will be required to conceptualize the legal system and relationship in the context of Bangladesh.

QM 640 Operation Research
PREREQUISITE STA 512. This course is designed to enable students to get exposure to different quantitative and mathematical tools to find out solutions regarding various strategic decisions in organizations.
