From February 16-18, 2005 IBAIS University participated in the US Trade Show-2005 held at the Dhaka Sheraton Hotel. This show was co-sponsored by the American Chamber of Commerce (Amcham), Bangladesh and the US Embassy in Dhaka. Honorable Foreign Minister of Bangladesh Mr. M. Morshed Khan as the chief guest inaugurated the show. HE Mr. Harry K. Thomas US Ambassador in Bangladesh was the special guest. A lot of students came to the IBAIS University stall to know about the opportunity and possibility of North American standard higher education in Bangladesh.

On 24 February 2005, IBAIS University has achieved the Academic Excellence Award conferred by the Center of International Business, Amity Business School, India in its valedictory ceremony of the "7th International Business Summit and Research Conference" for the outstanding contribution of IBAISU in delivering the international standard education in the area of management. Along with this, IBAISU founder President Dr. Zakaria Lincoln was bestowed with Gold Medal for being the Head of the University. IBAIS University has received this award because of their leading contribution in the area of management studies which helps to make management professionals globally competitive. To receive the award and as discussants of one research session, IBAISU President Dr. Zakaria Lincoln and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Haripada Bhattacharjee took part in the conference. It should be mentioned that Amity Business School has been ranked as the best Business School in India consecutively for the last two years and this conference is the Asia's biggest International Business Summit and Research conference.

On March 04, 2005 IBAIS University students organized a Picnic which was held at the Bhuiyan Bari Shooting Spot, Rupgonj, Narayangonj. President of the Board of Directors Dr. Zakaria Lincoln, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Haripada Bhattacherjee and the Commissioner of Anti-Corruption Commission & Chief Adviser of IBAIS University Prof. M. Maniruzzaman Miah were present in the picnic. Director (Finance & Administration) Mr. Md. Kawser Hossain, Director (Admission) & Controller of Examinations Mr. Md. Tofazzal Hossain, Registrar Mr. Md. Masudul Huq, Dean (Honorary), Computer Science Faculty Prof. Jugal Krishna Das, Head, Department of Business Administration Dr. Md. Farid Uddin and Head, Department of Computer Science & Engineering Mr. Khandoker Tarik-Ul Islam were also present in the picnic.

After enjoying the day long programs, Dr. Maniruzzaman Miah said, "I am very happy to participate in this picnic within the three months of my departure from this university and it will be memorable day of my life." He also expressed his great pleasure to meet the fresh students of Spring-2005 trimester.
