The government of Bangladesh accorded permission to IBAIS (International Business Administration and Information System) University in August 2002 to function under the Private University Act of 1992 and its amendment of 1998. Graduates from this University have already made a mark in the job market at home and abroad. Prof. M. Maniruzzaman Miah, former Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University is the First Vice-Chancellor of IBAIS University.

Its Founder President Dr. Zakaria Lincoln is responsible for overseeing the activities of this University. He has already earned recognition as a successful organizer of many educational institutions including Stamford College Group (Stamford University) and Bangladesh Institute of Business Administration and Information System. Dr. Lincoln is the Pioneer Educational Organizer who introduced MBA Program in the private education sector and makes it prevalent in Bangladesh. We pledge to make IBAIS University an ideal center of higher learning providing education at par with internationally recognized standard.
